Crock Pot Whole Chicken
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken (3 to 4 pounds)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
4 garlic cloves
1 medium onion, peeled and sliced
Preparation:
Place the onion in the bottom of the crock pot.
Remove the giblets from the chicken. Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels then rub with the oil.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Place the chicken, breast side up, into the crock pot.
Peel the garlic cloves and place them around the sides of the chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 7 1/2 hours.
Remove the chicken from the crock pot and let stand at least 10 minutes before carving.
